RasGas is engaged in the business of production and sale of Liquefied Natural Gas and related hydrocarbon products. At present, the company operates a five - train onshore facility and one sales gas train at Ras Laffan, which is located 80 km north of the capital city Doha, in the State of Qatar. The Company, as part of our expansion programme currently seek applications for the following positions :
Measurement Engineering Specialist
The incumbent shall have had experience with gas, liquid (particularly LNG and Condensate) flow measurement and tank gauging fiscal systems, with specific experience on orifice, ultrasonic, coriolis and turbine type meters. Candidate shall be knowledgeable with the relevant standards, in particular ISO, MPMS and AGA. Responsible to ensure the smooth transition from project to stable operation prior to handover to Operations, check SAT is fully complete and all punch list items have been addressed. Prepare metering system, including Master Configuration in readiness for first product flow, and co-ordinates all commissioning and pre-start up activities, including system verification against Operations procedures and calibration management package
Candidate should be a University Graduate in Electrical/Electronic or Controls/Measurement Technology with at least 10 years specialist experience gained in, the oil and gas industry with fiscal/allocation metering technologies and working knowledge of appropriate international standards such as ISO, MPMS and AGA.
Mechanical Engineer Specialist
The incumbent will be required to Punch List, review piping layout design and raise technical queries as required. The work covers all piping and piping systems on new Project work associated with the Onshore LNG Process Plant, Offsite Facilities, Utilities and off plot Utilities, some offshore work may also be required. The work covers the Commissioning and Start-up Phase of the Project followed by the period that the New Facilities will operated by The RasGas Expansion Group until the Facilities are finally handed over to RasGas Operations.
Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 12 years experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry in the Piping Discipline and least 6 years specific involvement in capital projects for major facilities. Have experience in mechanical static equipments (tanks, pressure vessel, and heat exchanger) and other packages design, construction and problem-solving operation related aspects. Conversant with applicable ANSI/ASME and other international codes and standards for static and mechanical package equipments. Specific experience with piping system design, pipe stress analysis and piping codes/standards is an advantage. Good exposure/experience with the concept and application of Quality Management system and ISO 9000 is also required.
Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer
Candidate should have at least fifteen (15) years working experience with Rotating Equipment related to the oil and gas industry, especially in the area of Operations and Maintenance with specialization in at least five (5) years of Rotating Equipment discipline work; examples of which are: gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, vibration analysis, dry gas seals, codes and standards, root cause analysis, field installation, costing etc. Extensive experience and exposure to “hands-on” work on the inspection, disassembly and re-assembly of rotating equipment. This includes balancing, alignment and borescope inspections. Extensive experience and exposure to root cause analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment with state of the art diagnostic techniques and instrumentation.
An Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized educational institution or equivalent, together with strong Analytical skills, Business Communication skills (reports, presentations, etc.), Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. Must be a Team Player and coach.
