PT Arutmin Indonesia is one of the major coal producing and exporting companies in Indonesia. It signed the first coal mining contract with the Government of Indonesia in 1981 and is therefore the longest-standing private coal producer. PT Arutmin Indonesia exports most of its coal production to the world market. Our mine operation and a world class coal terminal is fully based in South Kalimantan. SAFETY OFFICER - (Code: SO)
This position is based at our site in South Kalimantan. This is a staff position reporting to Safety & Health Supervisor. This position is responsible for Planning, implementing & controlling Safety programs to ensure that all employees, and contractors comply with the company policy and standard on safety.
Those with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply :
- Min. S1 Degree in health science or relevant disciplines
- Having minimum 2 years experiences in related position.
- Good skills in assessment, auditing, training in health, safety & security for.
- Possess good knowledge in mining safety and health regulations, HSE management and audit system.
- Posses good interpersonal and leadership skill and people management, Capable to work with minimum supervision, willing to work hard and under pressure.
- Good communication skills in Indonesia and English both written and oral, computer literate in Microsoft Office Programs.
- High integrity, dedicated, and team work oriented and high commitment to PTAI standards in environment, safety and business ethic and Good Corporate Governance.
ENVIRONMENT & PERMIT SUPERVISOR - (CODE: EPS)
This is a staff position reporting to Safety Health Environmental & Permitting Superintendent. This position is responsible for supervising site environmental (including reclamation) & permitting activities with the objective to meet government regulation & company standards within the budget given.
Qualifications required:
- S-1 degree in environment science, agriculture, forestry or other relevant discipline.
- Having 3 years experience in mining industry environmental & permits management
- Excellent knowledge in environmental regulations and mining operation related permits.
- Familiar with AMDAL reporting as well as RKL & RPL.
- Having good experiences in Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan.
- Having good experiences in Waste Water Management.
- Good skills in environmental assessment and auditing.
- Having good understanding in mining plan and mining closure plan & progress, compliance and permitting system.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Program / Application and Minescape for Reclamation.
General requirement:
- Possess good interpersonal skills and verbal & written communication skills both in Indonesian and English.
- Willing to work hard and under pressure.
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).
- Able to work in a team displaying good leadership and professionalism.
- High commitment to PTAI standard on business ethic and Good Corporate Governance.
- Good understanding on global coal business will be an advantage.
- Good understanding on community relation will be an advantage
MINE ENGINEER (ME)
This position is responsible for handling the day to day activities of mine planning aspects, short and long term planning, communication with contractor, in order to ensure that the production target is achieved in a safe manner.
Specific requirements to apply:
- University degree (S-1) in Mining Engineering
- Min. 2 years exp. in coal mining industry, fresh graduate with good exposure are welcome to apply.
- Good skills in mine planning and geological modelling by using mincom software.

SHE & Permitting Superintendent - (Code: SPS)
This is a senior staff position based in Senakin Mine Site, reporting to Senakin Mine Manager. He/she is responsible for permitting, planning, implementing & controlling SHE programs to ensure that all employees and contractors comply with the company policy and standard on safety, health & environment and operate in safe condition, developing and implementing SHE best practice to improve the cost effectiveness of company and SHE assurance process and performance.
Specific Requirements:
- Min. S-1 graduate in health science, engineering or any other relevant disciplines
- Min. 7 years working experiences and/or 3 years in similar position
- Excellent knowledge in Permitting, Safety regulations, SHE management and audit system, good skills in assessment, auditing, training in health, safety and environment, Knowledge of risk assessment methodology as it applies to the areas of healthy, safety, environment and general business.
- Have deep knowledge of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and Safety & Environmental Audit.
General Requirements:
- Good analytical, negotiation and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent language skills either spoken and written of both Indonesian and English.
- Capable to work in minimum supervision, willing to work hard and under pressure, having high integrity, dedicated, and team work oriented.
- Have a high commitment to PTAI standards in environment, safety, business ethic and good corporate governance.
