Project Geologist
POSITION SYNOPSIS
Reporting to the Geology Manager, you will be responsible for overview of the geology field programs and report compilation for government and project requirements. You will be responsible for information gathering and liaison with government departments to ensure we are up to date with the relevant statutory requirements, ensure compliance of field crews and work program to statutory and tenement commitments, monitor exploration, drilling and geochemical sampling program together with the site geologist to ensure quality data is achieved in the given time. Your work will also be to assist the field teams develop procedures and standards for exploration activities compliant with BHP Billiton safety standards.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Tertiary qualification in Geology with extensive experience working in Indonesia in resources setting. Have solid exposure in nickel literate exploration. Experience in undertaking resource estimations.
This is a Jakarta-based position with frequent travel to site in Eastern Indonesia.
