Manufacturing Engineer
Our Manufacturing Engineer will have broad responsibilities in working concurrently with Synaptics product development team on NPI, DFM and Yield Improvement. The candidate also involve Vendor sourcing and selection for new product and new process with focus on component supplier and contract manufacturers’ capabilities and design rules into our internal design process and checklists.
The successful candidate will routinely interface with suppliers, customers and Synaptics’ internal departments. This individual will involve design and develop processes as well as cost effected material to supporting new products introduction in order to meet both customer and Synaptics new products requirement.
We are seeking for a Manufacturing Engineer that is a self-driven individual with keen technical mind, an eye for detail, a positive attitude and excellent problem solving skills.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Mechanical / Electronics/Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4 years relevant professional experience in customer facing manufacturing engineering roles (consumer electronics experience is a plus)
- Familiar with PCB assembly process, COB, SMT etc. and process trouble shooting.
- Solid knowledge on IPC standard, NPI process, Quality control system
- Proven project management experience
- High volume production experience in ASIA and experience in OEM/ODM environment are required
- Thorough knowledge of PLM/PDM system, MRP/ERP system and document control
- The ability to multi-task effectively, self-motivated and a cooperative, team-based approach to solving problems
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills, Mandarin is a plus
- the ability to travel to CM sites for New product introduction support and critical manufacturing situations (Frequent travel to PRC)
Application Analyst
Responsibilities:
As an Application Support at Synaptics, you will provide support to internal users on enterprise software systems. You will provide support with system configuration, administration, and management of a PLM system. In addition you will work on a wide variety of projects that may requires day-to-day programming, regular interaction with other consultants and systems, and collaboration with internal users and other members of the business systems team. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support end-users on a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System
- Analyze business challenges that can be solved with automated systems
- Administer and configure systems and applications for internal users
- Maintain and support systems, applications, and internal users
- Gather and define requirements as well as evaluate and recommend solutions
- Design, implement, code, and test a Java web-based software applications
- Understand both business process and technical specifications and implement interfaces to 3rd party Java APIs (Agile, Oracle, IBM)
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in computer science/computer engineering or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in support and configuration of an enterprise software system
- 1-2 years of experience in a PLM systems and process (Oracle-Agile PLM or other)
- Familiar with Oracle-Agile PLM Administration and Configuration
- Experience and Familiar with relational database and business processes
- Excellent communication skills in a fast paced changing environment and good organization and problem solving skills. Candidate should be able to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate fluently with business users, technical people and management across the organizations. Candidate should have the ability to manage multiple tasks and make decisions with limited information. Customer oriented, self motivated and results driven
- Experience with Oracle reporting tools or any reporting tool a plus
- Experience and Familiar with Core Java, J2EE and general web application development
- Familiar with web design, UI design, HTML, and DHTML
- Experience in Tomcat, Apache, (Oracle Application Server or WAS a plus)
- Able to work with Oracle Database, (SQL Server and Mysql a plus)
- Knowledge of XML, Web Service, Web 2.0 experience a plus
