Quantity Surveyor
Location: (Based in Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out feasibility studies / evaluates contract specifications and scope.
- Responsible for preparation of detailed cost estimation and submission of proposals for tenders and contracts.
- Obtain quotes from materials suppliers, equipment and sub-contractors.
- Plan job timescales.
- Checking contractual requirements.
- Support buying activities.
- Monitor stages of projects to ensure costs are in line with budget.
- Provide recommendations and comments in the bid/no-bid decision with management.
- Attend meetings with clients / relevant parties on design related issues.
Job Specifications:
- Academic Qualifications and Previous Experience
- Degree / Diploma in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years cost estimation experience in construction industry.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications and perform take-offs.
Specific Skills:
Knowledge of MS Office.
Personal / Mental / Abilities :
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to write reports and proposals.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good team player.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Others : Willing to travel on short assignments.
Draughtsperson
Location: (Based in Singapore)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings of steelwork and concrete drawings for construction industry.
- Verify changes / modifications / variations and carrying out revisions as required.
- Printing of drawings.
- Transmittal of drawings to all concerned parties and maintaining records of transmittals.
- Submit drawings for approval / monitor and record approval status and ensure site / workshop staff has updated copies of drawings.
- Assist Purchasing department with take-offs and specifications.
- Liaise with Clients on specifications / requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering related discipline.
- At least 2 years experience in draughting.
- Experience in construction industry would be an added advantage.
- Good practical knowledge of Autocad.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
