Assistant Engineer
Reporting to the Asia Engineering Manager, you are part of team responsible for the plant design from preliminary to development phases, as well as supporting the energy management and project review process. In addition, you will assist the modeling engineer in the follow-up of energy management contracts utilized by Dalkia subsidiaries.
Working independently, you will track changes in the gas & electricity tariffs across Asia and generate monthly consolidated energy management reports.
You will be required to work closely with the costing engineer to manage third party contacts. Preparation of reports and presentations for the engineering team are also integral aspects of the job.
To be successful, you must possess:
- Degree in Mechanical engineer; major in HVAC is strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ working experience in engineering and/or operations
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Good team player who is able to work effectively across different cultures
- Basic knowledge of energy Plants, CAD.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Reporting to the Regional Technical Director, you will manage all activities related to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in Asia. A key deliverable is to implement the Environment Policy and Quality Management System in Asia.
You will coordinate the implementation of the Health & Safety, Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Processes within Asian subsidiaries, based on Dalkia’s EMS documentation and standards, and subsequently follow-up on audits for compliance.
Additionally, you will coordinate the implementation of ISO 14001 on sites, as well as support Dalkia subsidiaries in obtaining OSHAS 18001 certification.
At the same time, you will be responsible for reducing identifiable risks in the workplace to ensure staff safety and asset integrity. You will also compile group reports on environment issues, as well as support subsidiaries on environmental audits and impact surveys.
To be successful, you need to possess:
- Degree in environment, mechanical, electrical engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Eight years’ hands-on experience with ISO and EMS implementation
- Excellent communication skills in English, basic understanding of Mandarin is an advantage
- Good team player who is able to work effectively across different cultures
- Able to travel within Asia as required
Assistant Engineering Manager (Design)
Working closely with the engineering team, you will supervise and support projects from the preliminary to final phases. Taking into consideration future operations, maintenance and energy consumption, you will be responsible for proposing preliminary design for projects (i.e. mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems) based on Dalkia quality and performance standards.
Thereafter, your will review designs proposed by the design institute or engineering company, and propose technical and financial improvement. Follow-up on the plans and budgets are integral aspects of this role, to ensure the timely delivery of engineering designs.
Additionally, you will be required to provide regular progress updates to the project manager and/or customers.
To be successful, you must possess:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years’ working experience in engineering and/or operations
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Creative and able to work effectively in a team
- Be an expert in CAD and MS Project.
- Able to travel within Asia as required.
Senior Costing Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager in Asia, you will work closely with the engineering team and customers to provide costings for the various project components, such as material, labor, construction equipment and indirect cost. You will also monitor and audit the cost and contracts during the construction, and take necessary corrective measures to ensure that cost is kept within the budget.
In addition, you will be responsible for surveying the construction process and negotiating with the suppliers and contractors, to ensure the ongoing construction is in line with design requirements. For acquisition projects, you will carry out asset valuation for the documentation of equipment and value. At the same time, you will assess and monitor project risks, and take proactive steps to reduce these risks.
To be successful, you must possess:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years’ working experience in engineering and/or operations, and knowledgeable about HVAC and energy plants
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Analytical and good decision- making skills
- Good team player who is able to work effectively across different cultural.
- Possess hands-on experience using CAD and MS Project software.
