Senior Project Specialist (Ref: SPS)
The Job:
- Support project management involving the planning, scheduling development and manufacture of new and/or enhanced products in cooperation with the Project Manager;
- Ensure & report project schedules, monitoring and tracking the manufacturing progress, control costs and performance against plan;
- Serve as the focal point for all project information across the Company, as well as the Operation team in China;
- Monitor the supplier’s relationship between the ODM and their suppliers’ base & support TW , Swiss teams & HK team in dealing with South China vendors;
- Perform a variety of related project management responsibilities as required;
Responsible for industrialization of product with ODMs:
- Translate Marketing requirement in material (plastic & softgoods) & process selection
- Validate the design of plastic & softgoods parts
- Ensure quality of design for MFG & Tooling
- Liaise with packaging team to ensure quality of deliverable
- Support project leader in preparation & execution of pilot build at ODM site.
The Person:
- Bachelor degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields;
- At least 8 years experience in consumer product and soft goods;
- Self motivated, can operate independently and with minimal supervision;
- Knowledge of project management and development & manufacturing processes (ME, Packaging, Operation & EE);
- Knowledge of product quality requirement (ME, Packaging, EE, & Compliance);
- Prior experience in textile industry with packaging, graphic background a must;
- Thorough knowledge of computer peripherals or ideally, human interface devices is an advantaged;
- Able to develop project timelines by using MSFT project, or similar application;
- Good analytical and problem solving skills;
- Report the project status to the management;
- Good negotiation and time management skills;
- Experience and indirect responsibility for the management of supplier relationships in China;
- Ability to manage & communication with international teams, recognizing and being sensitive to cultural differences;
- Good written and verbal communication skills including English and Mandarin;
- Good understanding of how the functional areas of a global company work together, including Quality engineering, Operations, Marketing and SCM.
AP Trade Compliance Manager (Ref: TCM)
The Job:
Supporting day-to-day import and export compliance operations, broker management, including HS and ECCN classifications, valuation, tariff classifications, and all trade compliance issues relating to the region.
The Person:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience gain from an importer or customs broker;
- Experience in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan customs regulations is required;
- Extensive knowledge in Export and Import trade compliance regulations, Harmonized System and ECCN;
- Customs Brokerage license is preferred;
- Customs regulations experience for Japan & Singapore is preferred;
- Dangerous Goods Certification is preferred;
- Experienced in dealing with government agencies, such as Customs and Export Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) is a must;
- Good training/teaching and presentation skills;
- Good communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels and disciplines, including foreign office and trade partners.
