Product Sales Specialist, Oracle Direct
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell Oracle Middleware products (with strong focus on Weblogic and Tuxedo) to Hong Kong Customers
- This position carries an annual quota
- Responsible for understanding Oracle’s products offerings and competitive issues
- Existing Account Management - working with some of the largest and most technologically advanced companies in the world.
- New Account development - identifying prospective customer needs and developing innovative solutions to satisfy their requirements.
- Working with and developing relationships with Oracle Alliance and Channel Partners to drive revenue and maximize customer service.
- Lead generation through Product and Country Specific Marketing campaigns.
- Work with field sales force and resellers to plan and implement direct sales campaigns.
- Provide weekly accurate sales forecasts to Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Business Studies or related, preferred
- 3 or more years high tech sales experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle’s products or competitive products
- Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers
- Ability to work independently and good team player
- Fluency in English AND Cantonese. Mandarin speaking is advantage.
- High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative and commitment
- Self motivated to continuously expand personal professional knowledge
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment
Education Sales
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive sales expertise during complex sales calls;
- Develop specific areas of in depth expertise in addition to maintaining broad product skills;
- Develop comprehensive training solutions for customers in order to secure the sale;
- Respond to customer requests for proposals or information;
- Maintain on-going relationships with Oracle University customers;
- Provide innovative education solutions to address customer requirements;
- Comply with Oracle business practices
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years experience working in a sales role
- Proven skills in account management
- Comprehensive knowledge of key future industry trends
- Strong Presentation and Communication skills in English AND Chinese

Oracle DBA
Detailed responsibilities:
- As an DBA to provide technical support, e.g. patch analysis, patch application, cloning, performance tuning, etc
- On job training will be provided to train up be an Applications DBA
- To establish and maintain good relationship with customers
- To pitch Oracle Services values and generate business lead to Services Sales Team.
- To work with Global Support Team and Customer Management Delivery Team to manage problem in crisis situation.
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
- Solid experience in Oracle database (including performance tuning, installation, patching, upgrade, etc) is a must
- Knowledge in server hardware, storage & OS (UNIX & Linux)
- Applications DBA experience is definitely an advantage
- Knowledge in Applications development tools (such as Oracle Reports, Forms, Workflow, PL/SQL, Oracle Applications open interface, etc) and other applications tools (such as Discoverer & ADI) is perferred
- Functional knowledge in E-Business Suite (especially Financials, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing) is perferred
- Self-motivated and good problem solving skills
- Willing to learn and logical thinking
- Quality and achievement oriented
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Good command in both written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of spoken Mandarin is preferred
